A woman who lost her life savings after being conned out of more than £61,000 in a dating scam had to bring her own private prosecution after Report Fraud said they were unable to help.

Before Truro Crown Court for sentencing today (Thursday, October 29) was Luke Godley, who admitted fraud by false representation.

The prosecution said he told increasingly elaborate stories to get his victim to send her money to him, after they entered into a relationship.
