SPEAKERS

Lee Robins – Compliance and Enforcement Service Owner, Companies House

Service Owner for the Companies House Compliance and Enforcement Service, Chartered Manager and career civil servant with over 35 years’ experience in Companies House. In January 2016 Lee worked on the People with Significant Control (PSC) legislation, setting up and leading the Companies House compliance efforts. In 2018 he was heavily involved in the UK’s successful FATF assessment and in 2019-20 he led the Companies House elements of the 5MLD transposition concerning discrepancy reporting. In his current role he is now working hard to implement the enforcement elements of the ECCT Act 2023 dealing with the challenges that come from the biggest changes that Companies House has seen since 1844.

Sarah Beckingham Smith, Change and Technology Services – Senior Project Manager, The Insolvency Service

Senior Project Manager, delivering the Companies House Reform and Fees project on behalf of Insolvency Service, Chartered Project Manager with over 12 years’ experience in Project Delivery. In May 2024 Sarah, moved from the Ministry of Justice to the Insolvency Service to continue her career in project management, Sarah has extensive experience with both Regulatory and Legislative changes across her Private and Public profession. In her current role she is now working hard to implement the enforcement elements of the ECCT Act 2023 for Insolvency working closely with Companies House, Department of Business and Trade and Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.
